Rejuvenating days of summer are just ahead! Remember those afternoon picnics while playing in the fountain or grooving to your favorite artists in Bicentennial Park? After a long winter, everyone deserves a chance to unwind and bask in the sun. Fortunately for us, adventures along the Mile have returned! The Scioto Mile Fountain presented by American Electric Power Foundation will be up and running and ready for the fun, starting Monday, April 27! Whether you bike, run, or drive down, we always have something in store for you. With our summer programs just around the corner, we are thinking about all the activities and music coming your way. Here is a sneak peek into your summer plans:

Grab the kids, head downtown and join us for FREE fun and educational children’s activities centered around the Scioto Mile Fountain! Splash in the fountains, visit with animal friends, play games, learn about conservation and more on nine Wednesdays throughout the summer! Join Local Matters and Lowe’s Plant & Grow for weekly workshops. Cool off each week with free ice cream from Sunny 95/Meijer Treat Truck and pedal your way to a healthy lifestyle on the Molina Healthcare Smoothie Bicycle. Bicentennial Park Performing Arts Pavilion

FREE outdoor performances at Bicentennial Park are a great way to end your busy week! Ten different Rhythm on the River performances feature everything from bluegrass to blues to ballet and more! Donatos will have hot pizza to complement your cool summer nights on the riverfront. Food and beverage sales begin at 6:30 p.m. each week. - June 5: An Evening of Bluegrass with Blue Highway and Strung Up, 7:30 p.m.
- June 19: Golden Dragon Acrobats, 8:00 p.m.
- June 26: Columbus Jazz Orchestra featuring Dwight Lenox and Phil Clark (jazz), 7:30 p.m.
- July 10: Sammy DeLeõn Y Su Orquesta (Latin/salsa), 7:30 p.m. (In partnership with Mayor’s Twilight Ride)
