Fountain Fun and Summer Concerts on the Mile

We were getting a little tired of those cool April showers, but the start of May brings us closer to those warm summer days. The Scioto Mile Fountain presented by American Electric Power Foundation is on and ready for the sun! Whether you run, bike or drive down to join us at the Mile, we always have something fun in store for you. With our summer programs around the corner we are thinking about all the activities and music coming your way. Here is a sneak peek into your summer plans:

Bicentennial Park

Grab the kids, head downtown and join us for FREE fun and educational children’s activities centered around the Scioto Mile Fountain! Splash in the fountains, visit with animal friends, play games, learn about conservation and more on nine Wednesdays throughout the summer! Local Matters, Lowe’s Plant & Grow and the Central Ohio Beekeepers Association will have weekly workshops and there will be free ice cream every week to cool you off from the Sunny 95/Meijer Treat Truck. Bicentennial Park Performing Arts Pavilion

FREE outdoor performances at Bicentennial Park are a great way to end your busy week! Ten different Rhythm on the River performances feature everything from bluegrass to blues to ballet and more! Donatos and Sunny Street Café will have hot pizza and yummy wraps to complement your cool summer nights on the riverfront. Food and beverage sales begin at 6:30 p.m. each week.
