FREE Paddle In The City

There’s no doubt that the views of Downtown Columbus from the Scioto River are priceless, but on Saturday, August 13 from 2-6 pm you can experience them free of charge.
Head to the boat launch near Bicentennial Park (under the Main Street Bridge) for FREE Kayak and SUP rentals. Never been on the river before? Here’s your chance. Always wanted to try SUPing? There’s no better place than the Scioto River. Looking for a free family outing? There’ll be tandem kayaks too so bring the whole crew.
No pre-registration is required, but supplies are limited and it’s first come, first served. Boats, paddles, and floatation devices will be provided by HERO USA. This event is subject to weather and river conditions, so follow along for updates.
Parking is available at nearby meters using the Park Columbus App or at the RiverSouth Garage (232 S Front Street).
